If you are a smoker: You can QUIT and we can help. Contact us today – you are twice as likely to quit with our help.
Self-help
If you wish to quit without any other support, we have leaflets available which give you information on how to give up smoking, what to expect when you give up smoking, the health effects of smoking and tips on how to avoid smoking again. These leaflets will give you the information you require but you are more likely to succeed with one-to-one support.
This form of intensive individual support can help you make your quit attempt successful. As part of its remit to promote a smoke free society, the Health Promotion and Disease Directorate in collaboration with the Primary Health Care Department provides free one-to-one counselling services. This service is offered free of charge and is available every Monday at Floriana, Wednesday at Gzira and Paola Health Centres from 5pm to 7pm. Smoking cessation advisors are specially trained to support you through the quitting process. You can attend smoking cessation clinics for one-to-one sessions that are tailored to meet your individual needs.

Group Support
Smoking cessation programmes are also provided for employees at their place of work. This five week educational programme is delivered by trained health professionals who help employees to develop the skills to set a quit date and quit smoking within a supportive environment.
