St Julian's

St George’s Bay & Wilga Street

This profile covers three official bathing monitoring point. All sites are located along Malta’s northeastern coast in St. Julians. B03 and B04 situated in St George’s Bay is a sandy beach bound by gently sloping rocky shores. The beach was first replenished in 2004 and in 2005 using imported granite sand. B05 next to Dragonara Point adjacent to Wilga Street. The rocky area is protected as an Area of Ecological Importance as it harbours an important transitional coastal wetland. The sites are surrounded by commercial activity including hotels and restaurants.
